so i appreciate you both improving on the size and making it O(5) in all cases, not just best cases. but i still think you should take a look at tick-perfect movement (the new volleyball version has this) as it would drastically improve speed for all areas and cut down on the size. all of these long 255 chains would not be necessary anymore and it would look better. if you need an example i can show you
there is of course the issue of draggers needing a variable number of ticks (up to 7 ticks!) to act on a player, which would be mitigated by using doors but i understand that draggers make it harder to cheat
(also it would help in entities if you move some layers below game layer so you can still see yourself)
im not sure what intended gameplay is, but we cant test more than 1 round in a row for some reason
well maybe it's supposed to kill and the design of the map doesnt let you /unpractice on testing server

but i think in any case these long chambers of 255 speeder is rly old design
and doesnt showcase what is possible in fun category
the cross sections where you are waiting for a dragger to affect the tee can be ticked
you're also waiting on gravity, so maybe you can adjust gravity so that it falls in exactly 7 ticks
im assuming this is impossible letters (5 bit storage leaves 32 possible letters, so 6 unused?) edit: 5 unused because of space character

I think I understand this now. It blocks repeat words, but I think this should be explained somewhere, since this isnt intuitive
it also means that the game gets progressively easier if you keep track of what words have been used
okay, so you can't get a repeat, but you also cant get a word from the second half of the list. so there's 2 word banks just to prevent repeats. but i think this is not a great thing for repeated play, since you know for sure that a word is only in the first half when you start. i think it could be reworked to simply teleport anywhere if you get a repeat
if you loop to the same place, you will keep looping until you get a unique word
this also means that subsequent runs will be almost as repetitive (using mostly only half the word list until dups are encountered)
we also aren't seeing a place where the shuffling gets reset, which means all games are exhaustive and will softlock when all words are used
okay, so the shuffling gets "turned off" at the start (through 4, to 6, to 32 if 6 is on, which it IS but only at the start, which goes to this big chain from 111 to 22. finally, 22 turns off all the dupe prevention switches. this kind of chained TP abuse makes it really hard to tell what's going on and makes maintaining this map difficult
this map would be a lot easier to change if there wasn't as much teleporting around. i have to keep a mental map here in order to even figure out where the tee is going
sorry, I'll just do one group ping.
We have questions about the following aspects of the map: 1) why is 200-250 only on even numbers? were 201-249 odd numbers used for something originally? i cant find any evidence of this in any version 2) why is there 185 off at the bottom of the "small" timer, and why is there 191 off in the first letter of custom selection? they dont seem important or like they do anything 3) why isn't the duplicated word checker ever reset? eventually, the game will softlock when all words have been played. additionally, "custom" is considered a duplicatable word, even though someone could choose something else. how would you like this to be reworked? i have 3 ideas:
a) make the TP semi-random, do one extra TP if you get the same word. it gets reset every other round. b) just make the TP random again, using both word banks c) reset after some pre-determined timer, like 4 minutes with a long switch
Curly's idea: d) count the number of duplicates, after X duplicates, reset duplicate tracker
(technically the same as A, where X is 1)
i also dislike in general that there are different timers based on word length, to me not every longer word is going to be harder to guess. i also dont see the point of locking the end early tele at all, since you might be done in like 5 seconds for something like "tee"
minor nitpick, but the tees all travel at different speeds/times and it makes it unclear if the map is working correctly, possibly causing someone to spec and accidentally cheat
i think i would prefer if they were all teleporting at the same time
well, i have good news, custom letters will be able to use the full display now (not just 6 letters)
also, there are no preset words that are larger than 10 letters, so before this, the 11th and 12th letters were never used

but basically: 1) random from custom picker is broken (doesnt do door logic in draw area?) 2) subsequent rounds sometimes breaks (doesnt let u clean) 3) sometimes the other tees get dragged randomly, either causing the team to end up in the kill room, or just killing team completely
4) some parts are still slow, like when the tee falls down in the vertical chamber with draggers? (maybe its because of the draggers it has to be slow)
but great work on the custom picker, works well to erase letters and go random, even if u cant end early. also i see you added the "back" message
like there is a hook tele here but no way to hook it if frozen? so im not sure what was intended here

just wanted to comment and say it's been a journey seeing entity, bau, and kinki all push this concept to completion and i think this marks an important turning point for fun maps to get more technical, i think entity is really talented and i know curly and i have helped but he seriously has way cooler ideas than us and i know this is kinda just yap/glaze but yeah
I've tried the map with some friends and the only thing is the randomly generated words run out pretty quickly I dislike drawing, but had fun nonetheless
